Understanding At-Home OTC COVID-19 Antigen Diagnostic Test Results. At-home over-the-counter (OTC) COVID-19 antigen tests, often referred to as rapid tests, detect proteins called antigens from SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19.

Malaria test kits, particularly Rapid Diagnostic Test (RDT) kits, are used to quickly detect malaria parasites in a blood sample. These kits offer a convenient and efficient way to diagnose malaria, especially in settings where laboratory testing is not easily accessible. RDTs work by detecting specific malaria antigens in the blood using monoclonal antibodies.

It's designed to quantitatively determine cross-linked fibrin degradation products (D-dimers) in samples. This assay is used to help exclude deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE) in outpatients suspected of these conditions, especially when used in conjunction with a clinical pretest probability (PTP) assessment model. Additionally, it aids in diagnosing and monitoring hypercoagulable states, such as those associated with disseminated intravascular coagulopathy (DIC).
